A friend's daughter in New York has been summarily fired from her job after 18+ years without any notice. The employer also in NYC wants her to sign a severance agreement and is willing to pay her next 12 months salary. The background is that the employer is complicit over the years in forging some certificates and is now making my friend's daughter a scapegoat. She is not looking to sue anybody but just needs guidance on whether she should sign the severance agreement and wants to ensure that nothing comes back to haunt her. Anybody willing to help? It's time sensitive.
