After a career as a litigator and real estate attorney, Richard's clients are transitioning--purchasing or selling a business or property, or marrying or divorcing. Richard's skills and experience are unique: a seasoned litigator, corporate counsel, business owner, trained mediator, law school professor, and pioneer in the emerging field of collaborative law; Richard uses his experience and perspective to advise and represent his clients through transactions, transitions, and potential conflict. Richard is a Professor of Law at the So. Cal. Inst. of Law in Ventura, and a Professor of Business Law at Cal. State Univ. Northridge. He is former corporate counsel to Gonzaga University, Transnation Title, and Mortgage One; and several real estate brokerages and multiple listing associations. He is a former owner of a multi-office escrow company, and a 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange company.
