Lionfish Advisors is a boutique investment bank, expressly founded to serve smaller, privately-held, lower middle-market companies. We maximize liquidity by delivering a level of sophistication, professionalism and transactional expertise which typically has only been available to larger companies by middle market investment banks. Lionfish specializes in M&A and raising capital for lower middle-market companies; offering sell-side, buy-side and financing services to an under-served market.

Ari Nadelman provides investment banking services to lower middle-market companies with valuations below $50 million. We execute Sell-Side, Buy-Side and Capital Raising services for businesses that have limited access to institutional private equity and capital markets. As a result of his experience building and selling his smaller companies for his own account, he brings a unique understanding to the needs of his clients. Finding a quality investment bank to provide services to smaller businesses is a difficult task that Ari dealt with when building and realizing liquidity exits for his own companies. Entrepreneurs in the lower middle-market have few if any quality options available to them -- this is the market Ari serves.

As a result of the experience gained operating and the challenges he faced selling his own businesses he founded Lionfish Advisors, a lower middle-market investment banking firm specializing in mergers, acquisitions and financings. Some of the other ventures Ari founded and sold were a wireless Internet service provider, a dental waste removal business, an environmental remediation and hazardous waste emergency response firm, an export business and several others. He acquired his entrepreneurial skills from 15 years of experience in the family business recovering and selling freight involved in train derailments.

Ari received his BS from UC Berkeley in Energy Economics, followed by the Executive Program at UCLA Anderson. He has held seats on non-profit boards including YEO, CISPA, and several education-related entities. Fluent in Spanish, French and Italian, Ari resides in Santa Monica with his wife and son.
