Dr. Kamin has provided litigation consulting and expert testimony services on business and personal damages and business valuation since 1987. In 1991 he founded ValuEconomics, Inc. Previously he was Director of the Los Angeles office of QED Research, Inc. He has been retained in approximately 600 matters and has testified for both plaintiffs and defendants in hundreds of depositions and some 70 trials and arbitrations. In the area of commercial damages, Dr. Kamin has been retained to opine on:
• money damages for recovery of lost profits;
• diminished goodwill and business value;
• damages from infringement of intellectual property
• antitrust violations and related damages.
Valuation of damages requires application of a range of skills in economics, financial analysis and financial accounting. Dr. Kamin’s expertise in all of the necessary areas often eliminates the need to retain separate experts.
