Standing up for the Legal Rights of Working People and Consumers
Employees are generally trusting of their employers to know and adhere to federal and state labor and employment laws. Unfortunately, that trust is often betrayed, whether knowingly or due to carelessness. As employment law class action attorneys, we often find that consumers and employees are unaware of their rights — or if they do know what their rights are, they do not know how to assert and protect those rights.
Common issues affecting employees could include situations such as when an employer failed to properly pay employees' earned wages including vested but unused paid time off (e.g., vacation, personal and/or sick leave), misclassified an employee as “exempt” from overtime pay or as an independent contractor, unlawfully withheld deductions from wages, failed to provide duty-free meal and rest periods, or failed to reimburse for work-related expenses, to name a few.
Also, most people, as consumers, don't know their rights with respect to their dealings with retailers or other providers of consumer services or products. If a consumer suspects that they have been ripped off or wronged in their consumer interactions, there is a good chance that they are right, and that it may be actionable.
Class action suits, such as those which we pursue, give ordinary people the power to right these wrongs, both in the employment area, general consumer transactions, and otherwise.

Plaintiff class action work, in the areas of labor/employment; consumer transactions; landlord/tenant disputes, largely in the area of security deposit refunds; financing and lending terms, and other areas. Legal fees and costs for the pursuit of these class action cases are awarded/approved by the Court, and paid by the defendant. Plaintiff representatives in the cases are usually entitled to receive an "enhancement" - extra compensation for pursuing the lawsuit. Also, we pay referral fees to referring attorneys - percentage negotiable.
