Strategies for Human Resources provides cost-effective, executive-level expertise to small and mid-sized local, nationwide and international organizations. Services include workplace investigations and expert witness testimony, sexual harassment avoidance and supervisor training programs, audits of human resources and wage and hour practices, the all-important I-9 immigration processes, assistance with employee performance and behavior issues, a labor law compliance hot line, and everything else within the HR function -- from job descriptions to design and implementation of total performance management systems. We also provide the expertise to strategically position HR programs and initiatives to assure achievement of corporate goals. For many of our clients, we ARE their human resources department. For other clients, we assist their HR staff and/or leadership team to design customized human resources initiatives to meet the company’s specific needs. For Fortune 500 clients, we perform special projects when the company’s HR department does not have either the required time or expertise.

We provide professional workplace investigations, expert witness testimony, HR/Wage & Hour audits, I-9 audits, customized Performance Management systems, a telephone hotline for help with employee issues and labor law compliance, employee handbooks, policies & procedures, wrap Summary Description Documents (SPDs), job descriptions, leaves of absence and COBRA administration, workers’ compensation injury management, employee and supervisor training (including California-mandated Sexual Harassment Avoidance), assistance with workforce reductions (layoffs and RIFs), WARN act, HIPAA, GINA, Section 125 and ERISA compliance and training. We also assist Start-Ups design human resources and payroll functions and processes that can grow with the organization. Our Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) expertise ranges from due diligence assistance through successful integration of cultures, processes and people.

While we would love to list our clients, we are bound by strict confidentiality agreements. We can state that our clients include California, nationwide and international employers with less than five employees (who might want help with a particular employee issue) up to Fortune 500 companies who need assistance with a project or require a specific expertise they don't have in-house. Most of our clients are small to mid-sized organizations with a need for professional human resources services. Depending on the company’s requirements, we may function as their HR department or assist their on-staff HR person in compliance and/or some of the more complex areas of the HR profession.

We provide human resources services to a wide-range of industries -- from services such as broadcasting, law, health care, telecommunications and engineering to manufacturing, distributors, machine shops, construction, personal services and retail. We also assist federal contractors.
