Mr. Israels is a certified by the California State Bar Association as a criminal specialist. It is estimated than less than 1% of criminal lawyers have that designation. He works with his nephew, Sam Israels, also a former prosecutor, and Mr. Israels’ partner Steven Cron, also a certified criminal specialist. Their clients appreciate the team approach when working on a case which may be the most stressful situation of their lives. It is the nature of the practice to be available by telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Although he has much trial experience (approximately 200 jury trials), his background, skills, and contacts has often allowed him to obtain favorable results without the extra expense associated with trial. As a defense attorney, he has successfully handled cases ranging from accusations of driving under the influence, murder, sexual misconduct, domestic violence, and complicated white collar cases. He also has extensive experience in the Juvenile courts.
