Javier focuses his practice on providing strategic business advice and legal counseling to established companies, start-ups and entrepreneurs. In his litigation practice, he handles a range of disputes, including complex commercial matters, breach of contract actions, intellectual property cases and product liability suits.
Javier has handled cases for clients of varying size across a range of industries. His representations have included The Harlem Globetrotters and Shepard Fairey/Obey Giant Art, Inc./Studio Number One.
He also advises a number of entrepreneurial clients including Georgie Beauty LLC/Winks by Georgie, Fly Machine Cargo Logistics and Grand Crus, a Southern California wine tour operator.
As a business counselor, Javier helps companies adeptly and safely navigate the broad corporate landscape — from formation and corporate governance to dissolution and asset sales.
Beyond Fox Rothschild, Javier holds a number of leadership roles with significant organizations. Currently, he serves as president of the Puerto Rican Bar Association of California, deputy regional president of the Hispanic National Bar Association (Southern California Region) and executive committee member of the Los Angeles Associates Advisory Board’s Legal Aid Foundation.
Javier is also actively involved with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), serving as a trustee for the Greater Los Angeles Chapter. For nearly five years, he has been actively involved in LLS’s Team In Training (TNT) program and has participated in approximately 12 events (marathons, triathlons and century bike rides). In fact, he is a winner of the Triple Crown award and coaches on the Westside marathon team.
