Named ADR Super Lawyer in 2007-2010, an honor bestowed upon 5% of southern California lawyers, Lynne Bassis Esq. is a pioneer in the ADR profession, a recognized and distinguished lawyer and mediator, with an unparalleled experience in and knowledge base of the mediation practice. Teaching mediation for the Los Angeles County Bar Association since 1991, she is an acknowledged conflict resolution educator. As a student of the neurosciences, she is exceptionally skilled at mediating conflicts at the Intersection of Law & Human Emotion.
Ms. Bassis sits on several mediation panels, including: California Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (CADN), American Arbitration Association (AAA), Alternative Resolution Centers (ARC), Inland Valley Arbitration & Mediation Services (IVAMS), Los Angeles County’s Office of Human Resources Mediation Panel, Pasadena Police Department Mediation Panel and Los Angeles and San Diego Superior Court Mediation Panels. Ms. Bassis is also an arbitrator for FINRA.
Ms. Bassis’ private mediation practice areas are: employment and wage & hour (including class action), disability, wage & hour, business/partnership, trusts and estates, legal and professional malpractice, real estate, catastrophic injury, commercial and intra-family disputes. She is a former adjunct Professor/Director of the Disability Mediation Center at Loyola Law School and former ADR Adjunct professor at Southwestern University School of law. Ms. Bassis’ 24-year legal career includes work in both the private and public sectors. Her private practice career includes work for municipal defense and employment-labor law firms. Her public service includes work for the California Supreme Court’s State Bar Court. She also held the position of prosecutor for the State Bar of California and was a staff attorney for the Legal Services Corporation.
