We founded Bergman and Allderdice in 2005 out of the desire to work closely with organizations that are committed to making a difference in our community. Having worked at large firms, we decided we preferred the personalized service of a smaller, women-owned law firm dedicated to providing high quality and cost effective legal services. We service nonprofit and for-profit organizations, lenders and developers, municipalities and local housing authorities in the legal and financial aspects of low-income affordable housing, and community and economic development. Our areas of expertise include all types of financing, tax-exempt bonds, credit enhancements, syndication of low-income housing tax credits, new markets tax credits, leases, sale/lease back transactions, ground leases and government financing as well as charter school financing.

Traditional Real Estate Transactions
We represent purchasers, sellers, landlords and tenants in real estate property financing and development, sales, leasing, condominium approval, property subdivision and qualification for property tax exemptions. We are well-versed in land use and environmental issues including zoning compliance, issuance of construction permits, conditional use permits, variances, property subdivision and NEPA and CEQA regulations.

Our clients are committed to making a difference locally and nationally, and include a wide array of nonprofits, lending institutions, community and economic development organizations and investors whose common goal is the improvement of communities and quality of life for families and individuals.
