We work with our clients to help them change behaviors and processes that positively impact their results. This means we are typically involved with strategic and operational issues, including building high-performance teams.
The top 7 high-level issues our clients deal with typically are: 1. The revenue and/or profit growth is below the CEO’s expectation.
2. The company has difficulty to get products to market quickly.
3. The company suffers from ineffective coordination of action resulting in poor execution & poor customer satisfaction.
4. The executive team is not performing at the level the CEO wants to see their team perform in terms of the overall team effectiveness. Or, some executives need help building their team.
5. For companies that are growing quickly, they realize the business will get more challenging & the team will have to stretch to keep up. As a result, they want to improve the leadership capabilities of everyone & of the overall team consistent with their growth objectives.
6. Some team members do not have mutual respect & trust for other team members. Consequently, the team is not debating the real issues.
7. Even when the team comes to a decision and agrees on a general course of action, there is a gap in strong cross-functional planning, execution & follow-through. The team has difficulty getting on the same page. When these issues are not handled well, the people tend to become blame-focused rather than action-focused, with gossip and backbiting contaminating the environment. Add to that, a lack of empowerment to make decisions, poor relationships and distrust, and you get a mood of apathy, cynicism, which turns into a mood of resignation and resentment. When a CEO or other C-Level executive talks to us, they do so because one or more of the issues above are in their face, and they can no longer ignore the issues. They realize they have to resolve these issues if they want to accelerate revenue and profit growth.

Our client typically has been between $10 million to $150 million in revenues. With about 10% of our clients smaller, and 10% of our clients significantly larger.
Most often our conversations start for one of the reasons listed under business overview with the CEO, President, COO, CFO, GM, or other independent leader. Their buy-in is important for the overall success of the program.
Recently, we have also been approached by HR executives who see ERM as a strategic initiative that they can lead in the organization. They will bring us in the conversation with the executive team. In the end, we still need to talk to the decision maker as they will lead by example.
